HDC Round #1
Us cool kids in the cancer world refer to high dose chemotherapy as "HDC."
On a much happier note, Mehg AKA Veronica Corningstone came to visit me this weekend. |
If I look excited it's because I didn't have to look like a crazy person in a hairnet on the tour of the Celestial Seasonings factory. |
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YEARGS! Ahreeaad on, ahaa. |

If anyone wants more information on my tumor (also known as Pat), my best friend, Mehgan Teherani, currently in medical school at Texas A&M, did a presentation on ze tumor...

Steamboat Springs
Casey's family friends let us use their condo in Steamboat Springs for the weekend. It was so much fun!
On the way... |
Me, Einstein and Tom Sawyer. |
We didn't spend a lot of time here or anything. |
Cute. |

Sippin' on some Hennessy. |
Pre-Tugboat - Yes, we put on our robes to go to a bar and dance. |
Dancing at the Tugboat. It's amazing how much de-robing was attempted. |
After dancing at the Tugboat Bar. |

Best weekend ever. |

Thayunksgiving 2011
Thanksgiving was super fun this year. I flew to Dallas and got to see some friends and lots of family.
NOT normal for us. |
EXTREMELY normal for us. |
The Breland Crew |
Boots' birthday was on the 25th! I made her a German Chocolate Cake from scratch, pretty much saying eff you to brain surgery... |
Maybe I didn't get the "smiling" memo. |
But I definitely got the "karaoke" memo. |
We're cute. |
So pretty. Wish I had her hair color, or really just her hair. |
Christmas Card Photo 2011 - I'm naming it now. |
My next treatment isn't until the 14th through the 18th of December. Trying to enjoy the next 2 weeks before 300mg of Temodar Chemo kicks my ask for 5 days... or maybe I'll kick its ask. We shall see.

People ask me how I stay so positive throughout this process. Well, here's my secret... I do this in the mirror every morning.
Hehehehehehehe.

Really? I'm done?
Not sure how to describe the past 6 weeks...
The following video clip pretty much sums up the timing of it all:
The following video clip pretty much sums up the timing of it all:
Joel came with me to Denver yesterday for a pulmonary test and my IV Chemo drip.
We got to watch The Jerk. For some reason, I get my own room for the drip... It makes me feel a little VIP.

I was put into a box. Literally.
Excited/cocky that I get to be let out of the box. Especially after the shockingly loud yells of the Pulmonary Test coach guy who loved to hear himself talk. |
An "Office Space" type scenario where I destroy it with a baseball bat to the tune of,
"Damn, It Feels Good to be a Gangsta'"

It's Pat!
We decided to name my tumor Pat after the SNL character.
Male? Female? We're not sure... |
Male? Perhaps... |
Female? Could be... |
Pretty huge. Jenne told me that I should at least be charging it rent if it's taking up that much space in my head. I agree. Pay up, Pat. Rent will cost you at least $5,000.00 per month for the next infinity months to compensate for the cost of brain surgery and really just for your general attitude.
Math for the day:
Brain Surgery + Cancer = Expensive
Oh yes it is... it's a toomah.

Dances with wolves... not really.
For Callie's birthday, Nathan, Say, May, Callie and I went to a wolf sanctuary outside of Fort Collins. Although I'm sure they are lovely dancers, we didn't actually get to dance with them. Petting and french kissing only (not really a joke - one of them licked my teeth - it was weird). Very fun day!
Callie - think she's happy? |

Last night, me and Mo went to dinner with Ms. Casey Berry - woman pictured below in tiny fur vest.

So glad you purchased tiny vest. Looks great on you, Berry. |
