Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade IV Tumor

So...

I was having the "worst headache of my life" about 3 weeks ago and thought it was a migraine. Callie took me to Urgent Care where they prescribed me Valium, Vicodin, and a muscle relaxer. Thank God I got a second opinion! Haha.

Turns out, I have a Grade 4 Tumor in my brain. It's called a Glioblastoma Multiforme. You can read more about it here:

Things happened really fast and I ended up having surgery where they removed most of the tumor. I had my surgery on September 2nd. I start treatment next week (a combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy). We have to be very aggressive with it. Good news is that at this point they don't have to go in for a second surgery. The treatment should be 6 weeks on, 4 weeks off.

Thank you for all the prayers! I appreciate them more than you know!

Jo Jo sent me this from Canada!

This too...

  1. Wow. Thanks a lot for sharing, Rachel. We all love you so much, and we are so thankful that you are here. You are beautiful and strong, and now you have a Doctor now whose care is so much more precious and powerful than any human hand. He cares for you like no one else ever could. I pray that you will feel His love in every moment, and find constant rest and renewal in His loving embrace. You are more precious to Him, and to us, than YOU know!
